BATAVIA/GREENWOOD: Ida B. (Allen) Holt, 89, of Batavia passed away Friday February 19, 2021 at Batavia United Memorial Medical Center following a brief illness. Ida was born in the town of West Union on April 10, 1931 to the late Norman H. and Freda P. (Wilcox) Allen. On August 12, 1950 in Wellsville, she married Howard H. Holt who predeceased her in May of 1999. Ida was a Greenwood native and graduate of Greenwood Central School class of 1949. She and her husband moved to the Batavia area early on where they raised their family and where she had worked for several years at the former GE Sylvania in Batavia. She and her family were members of the First Presbyterian Church in Batavia. In her spare time, Ida loved to crochet. She loved to spend time with her family especially all her beloved grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all. She is survived by a son Randy (Marla) Holt of St. Leonard, MD, two daughters, Maureen (Loren) Adams of East Bethany and Denise Holt (Rhonda Lund) of Batavia, 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a sister Mary Banks of Peoria, AZ., son-in-law Richard Magnuson, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Ida was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Magnuson, two granddaughters Tina Magnuson and Emily Holt, 4 brothers, Stuart, Kenneth, Ralph and Max Allen and three sisters, Marjorie Herrick, Margaret Smith and Harriet Banks. There will be no services at this time, a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions in Ida’s name may be made to the Batavia First Presbyterian Church, 300 East Main St. Batavia, N.Y. 14020.
