Obituary of Sandra Eileen Aldrich/Cramer

ULYSSES: Sandra Eileen “Sandy” Aldrich/Cramer, 78, of Lehman Hollow Rd. passed away Sunday morning December 12, 2021 at Charles Cole Hospital in Coudersport, Pa. following a brief illness. Sandy was born January 1, 1943 in Salamanca to the late Everett and Rita (Bailey) Aldrich. She was a graduate of Hornell High school class of 1961. Graduated at Alfred University in 1984 to start an impressive nursing career. Joining the Army in 1991-2004 ranking as Captain of the 865th support combat hospital with the highest of honors for her loyalty to our country. She was a phenomenal archer and an expert marksman. As a youth she loved music and art, sang soprano for the catholic church, played piano, and painting was natural, leaving us all professional paintings. Sandy loved all animals as they were drawn to her. This strong selfless woman has been an inspiration to many. “Happy am I; from care I am free, why aren’t they all contented like me?” She is survived by a daughter Julie Coogan (David Halstead) of Westfield, Pa. sons, Shawn Carlineo of Watkins Glen, Todd Coogan of Ulysses, Pa. one grandson Shawn Carlineo, Jr. She is also survived by two sisters, Ann Peisher (Bob) of Canisteo, Sue (James) Austin of Troupsburg, nieces and nephews, Bill (Phena) Peisher, John (Patty) Peisher, Jay (Denise) Peisher, Mary Hope (Randy) Silco, Shannan Austin (Missy Sheffield), Wendy (Robert) DeLay, Jyl (Jamie) Guessregen, Kelly (Matt) Nickerson, Erin (Jessie) Freberg, Kevin Turner and Theresa Turner (Jeremy Cerrillo). Sandy was predeceased by a sister Shari Turner. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm Sunday, December 19th at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home in Canisteo where funeral and committal service will take place immediately following calling hours at 3:00 pm. Final interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Canisteo.
