Obituary of Carl J. Parker

Carl J. Parker, 72, of Bath, NY, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 at the Taylor Health Care Facility in Bath. Carl was born in Hornell, NY on April 19, 1952 to James Lyle and Minnie S. Harry Parker. He was raised on his parents’ farm in Jasper and was a 1970 graduate of Jasper Central School. Following high school, Carl studied Data Processing in Binghamton. Carl worked as a self employed building contractor and was a very skilled carpenter and builder. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Carl had a wonderful sense of humor, even finding levity with his family in his final moments. Carl was preceded in death by his father, James Lyle Parker on December 22, 2019. Surviving is Carl’s son, Jason Parker (Kristin) of Big Flats, his mother, Minnie Parker of Bath, his grandchildren, Killian, Freedom, Cypress and Ostara, his sister, Vickie Parker of Bath, his aunts, Julia Parker, Sandy Gray and Nina Foreman, special family friend, Bob Kittle of Bath and several cousins. Following Carl’s wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements are in care of the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull, NY.
