I have heard so many wonderful stories about Dave from his longtime neighbor and friend, Don Whitehead. After Don moved out of state, they’d call each other and chat, and Don would make a point to visit whenever he was back in NY. Dave had an interesting sense of humor, and Don loved playing along!
I didn’t know him as well. I remember Dave’s huge black dog, the abundance of houseplants, his welcoming smile, and the lovely garden had tended meticulously.
