Obituary of Shirley A. Lechner

Shirley A. Lechner, 68, of Cty. Rte. 101, Addison, passed away at home on Sunday, November 10, 2013 following a long illness. Born in Elkland, Pa. on November 14, 1944, Shirley was the daughter of Benjamin and Martha Jeffers Moore. On Feb. 10, 1978, she and Gordon R. Lechner Jr. were married in Addison. Shirley was a homemaker but had also worked as a waitress at the Silver Top Diner and Hitching Post Restaurant, both in Addison and later at Absolut Care @ Three Rivers in Painted Post. A member of the Eagles Aerie 3904 Auxiliary in Addison, she was also an avid bowler, bowling in the Drywallers League at Crystal Lanes. Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Shane Brockway who died on Sept. 5, 1987, her sisters, Loretta "Debbie" Herrington, Pearl Flewellyn and Donna Moore and her brothers, Philip Moore, Jack Moore, Francis Moore and Thomas Moore. Surviving is her husband, Gordon Lechner Jr. of Addison, her sons, Ashley (Nora) Brockway of Tioga, Pa and Shannon Brockway Sr. of Addison, her daughter, Sheena Brockway (Christopher Dixon) of Addison, grandchildren, Chad Brockway, Nikki (Darin) Cunningham, Brandy Brockway (Jake Hartz), Shannon Brockway Jr. and Shaina Brockway, 6 great grandchildren, brothers, Lloyd (Sigrad) Moore of Fayetteville, NC and Benjamin (Judy) Moore of Elmira along with many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 2-4 PM at the Borden Baptist Church, Cty. Rte 100, Borden. Her funeral service will be conducted there on Thursday at 1 PM with Pastor David Scrimshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Creek Cemetery, Borden.
