Obituary of Dora M. Harry

Dora M. Harry, 85, of Hornell Gardens, Hornell, formerly of Troupsburg, NY passed away on Friday evening, June 17, 2016 at Hornell Gardens. Born on July 7, 1930 in Jasper, NY, Dora was the daughter of Richard and Coral Campbell Welch. She attended Troupsburg Central School where she graduated in 1950. On May 1, 1953, she married Leland L. Harry. Leland preceded Dora in death on June 11, 1998. Together Dora and Leland operated a dairy farm on the Greenwood Road in Troupsburg until their retirement. She had been a longtime member of the Troupsburg Fireman's Ladies Auxiliary. Dora, for many years, hosted her "Farmer's Picnic" at her farm in Troupsburg. Besides her husband Leland, Dora was predeceased by her brothers, Kenneth A. Welch and James E. Welch and her sister, Camilla Welch Drake. Surviving are her sisters in law, Marjorie Welch of Troupsburg, Patricia Welch of Troupsburg, Nina Borham, Minnie Parker, Carolyn Henry, Joanne Harry and Kay Drake, special nieces and nephews, Darla Kendall, Richard Welch, Susie Schobart, Jeremy Welch, Joe Welch, Todd Welch, Mike Welch and Jim Van Dusen and several other nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Monday, June 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will be held there on Tuesday at 11 AM with Rev.
